A visit to the Gonzales family pottery studio is a MUST when you are in Guanajuato. Gorky Gonzales spent over 2 hours with us looking at the process and explaining the history of majolica. The show room is full of treasures at extremely reasonable prices for handmade pieces. We had a number of items shipped back to SF for $55! All of the pieces were in great shape (nothing cracked or chipped) and the packing job that their staff member(s) did was truly a work of art. We really appreciated the time they took to discuss the artmaking process, not to mention our tour. As an added bonus, there is a great exhibition at the Guanajuato Museum next to the University Steps about the Gonzales family and history of pottery development! Melissa and Jeff

We received the custom dog platter today with our 2 dogs painted on it. It is so delicately detailed, artfully colored, and a perfect representation of both dogs. The art work around them is beautiful and ties the images together so well. Please thank the artisans that worked on it. We are absolutely thrilled with it. We will treasure it forever.
Also shipped to us were the dessert plate, bird tray, mug, small bowls with bug paintings, and the butterfly we picked out when visiting. They all arrived in perfect condition and are absolutely lovely.

Thrilled with the plate and platter that I just received. The colors are vivid, stunning, and the bird artwork is truly uplifting. Everything was packaged extremely well and I appreciated the fast shipping and shipping updates.
